VegasLytics Trade Optimizer – Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
VegasLytics Trade Optimizer is a Chrome extension that analyzes the fantasy football league you have open and suggests trades. This page explains what data it touches and where it goes.
What the extension reads
- League data from the fantasy site you are viewing. On ESPN and Sleeper league pages the extension reads league settings, rosters, and the free-agent list through the site's own API, using the browser session you are already signed in with. This happens inside your browser only.
- Projections and trade values. Public data files are downloaded from the project's public GitHub repository. No information about you is included in those requests.
What leaves your browser
- Nothing about your league or rosters is sent to VegasLytics or any other server. All analysis runs locally in the extension.
- License keys stay in your browser. If you purchase the Pro tier and enter a license key, the extension checks the key's signature locally. The key is not sent to VegasLytics or anyone else.
- Purchases happen on PayPal's checkout page in a normal browser tab, covered by PayPal's own privacy policy. The extension never sees payment details. VegasLytics keeps the email address you paid with and the plan you bought so it can send, and if needed re-send, your license key.
What is stored
- Your settings (chosen team per league, optimizer tolerances, optional custom dataset URLs), your license key and its status are stored with Chrome's extension storage and may sync across your Chrome profile.
- The license key contains the email address it was issued to and its expiry date, so the panel can show who it is licensed to.
- A trimmed copy of Sleeper's public player list may be cached locally for up to 24 hours to avoid re-downloading it.
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising identifiers are collected.
Permissions
sidePanel: shows the analysis panel.
storage: saves settings and license status.
activeTab and scripting: talk to the league page you are viewing, and inject the reader if the page was opened before the extension was installed.
- Host access to
fantasy.espn.com, sleeper.com, api.sleeper.app, and raw.githubusercontent.com: read league data and download the datasets. Yahoo is recognized but not read.
Your choices
Removing the extension deletes its stored settings and license status from Chrome. To remove a license from a device, use "Remove key" in the panel.
